Sónar A/V Works
Live electronics / generative image / movement / collaboration

How do live sound and visuals change together?
Across the 2023 and 2024 editions of Sónar Istanbul, I developed two live A/V performances at Zorlu PSM. Both works used flexible musical structures so timing, density and intensity could change in response to collaborators on stage.

Live sound.
Live image.
Fosil and Yasin Arıbuğa at Sónar Istanbul. The performance moved through flexible musical sections while sound and generative image responded to one another in real time.

SónarScreen 2023
I performed live electronics while Yasin Arıbuğa performed visuals. The music was arranged in flexible sections, allowing us to change timing and intensity in response to each other.
Timeless Being 2024
Uğur Acil developed an AR-based visual system. A Kinect camera read Gizem Seçkin’s depth and movement in real time, creating a second figure on screen while I performed the sound live.
A responsive stage
The visuals were not a fixed backdrop. Movement, image and sound remained active parts of the same performance system.
